Lesson 6
The Future Tense
Listen

Forming the future tense in Carichendan is easy.  You just add -yali to the end of the verb.  As in all tenses, there is no agreement in person, gender, or number.  Here are some example sentences using the vocabulary I have presented in previous lessons:

Aní kimyali we ra rishtera.  (I will go to the store).
Alú jashayali shikasa!  (You will understand later!)
Ilet dyela ke ani áluweyali ngyarami Carichendali min ra kusanda.  (She says that I will be able to speak Carichendan in the class.  "ke" means "that" and I will explain in another     lesson how it is used).
Ani shayali alu shenet.  (I will always love you.  shenet = always).
Yelen jabilaleyali eshkalani.  (They will dance tomorrow.  eshkalani = tomorrow)
Yelen dyelanit ke nami keseyali la ranya dázhim ke nami apsha je.  (They said we will want that book when we see it).
Ani pala tsangnali yorai ke nami sangaratyali je.  (I don't know whether or not we will buy it.  yorai ke = whether or not).
